Background & Initial Registration

  • December 24, 2024: Created an owner account on the Press Registrar General of India (PRGI) portal and submitted the initial application.
  • April 22, 2025: Digitally signed the application to request approval from the designated printer.
  • April 26, 2025: Received formal agreement from the printer to print the publication.
  • April 28, 2025: Executed the final digital signature on the application and remitted the ₹1,000 processing fee to PRGI.
  • May 3, 2025: PRGI forwarded the application to the Specified Authority (Collector, Bhadrak).
  • May 10, 2025: A Deficiency Certificate was issued by PRGI.
  • May 30, 2025: Successfully complied with and resolved all defects highlighted in the Deficiency Certificate.
  • July 3, 2025: The application was auto-forwarded from the Collector back to PRGI.
  • July 7, 2025: At 4:57 PM, the title “Nagarika Pathashala” was officially approved, and the initial Registration Certificate was issued.

Price Revision & PRGI Advisory Application

  • July 11, 2025: Realizing the publication price was incorrectly listed as ₹20, an application for a price revision was initiated.
  • July 12, 2025: Digitally signed the price revision document.
  • August 29, 2025: Received a second Deficiency Letter regarding the price revision application.
  • September 1, 2025: Complied with the deficiencies noted in the second letter.
  • Interim Period: PRGI issued ADVISORY No. 35 of 2025, stating that publishers could now independently update their periodical prices via the Press Sewa Portal without needing formal PRGI approval, and noting that the price component would no longer be part of the Registration Certificate.
  • October 1, 2025: Acting in accordance with the new advisory, the printing of the 1st Issue commenced.
  • October 24, 2025: PRGI officially approved the previously submitted price revision application (though printing had already begun based on the aforementioned advisory).

Periodicity Change & Weekly Relaunch

  • February 23, 2026: Submitted a new application for revised registration to change the publication’s periodicity from Fortnightly to Weekly.
  • March 1 – May 2026: Printing was temporarily suspended pending the approval of the revised periodicity.
  • May 22, 2026: Received official approval from PRGI for the revised registration as a Weekly publication.
  • June 8, 2026 : Printed the inaugural issue (Volume 1) under the newly approved Weekly format.
